familierom Vatnahalsen

THE ROOMS

Vatnahalsen has 40 rooms, including 7 single rooms, with a total of 75 beds in the main building. These are bright and cozy rooms with views of the surrounding nature. Most double rooms can accommodate extra beds, and during June–September we also offer extra rooms in the annexe, which is approximately 150 meters from the hotel.

The Annexe was built around 1880, and was originally used as barracks during the construction of the Bergen Railway. The hotel acquired the building, and it is now used as residence for the staff. The hotel burnt down at the beginning of the war, and after that the annexe served as a lodge. This lasted up to 1954, when the new hotel was opened. The annexe has been renovated, and in the summertime it serves as a lodge.
